Growing! Growing! And more growing!

Just a quick update on Baby Boy's growing!

23 weeks 1 day (and back to my blond)

24 weeks/6 months

26 weeks 3 days

Dave finally felt Baby Boy kick on August 17! That is probably one of the best feelings being able to share that with Dave. It feels more real now that I am finally feeling him kick AND that Dave felt it too! Just over 3 months until Baby Boy arrives and we have so much to do!

Babymooning!

I am not really that good at updating this blog! I need to get on that!

Dave & I have taken advantage of this summer and have done a bit of traveling.  We know this will be the last summer that we are baby free so we went to away to celebrate this, along with our 5 year wedding anniversary and Dave's BIG 31st birthday!

Our frist stop on the Babymoon Train: LAS VEGAS! (July 2-5)

Hotel lobby
Happy July 4th!
Dave loves Vegas and I enjoy it BUT it is not the best place to go in the middle of July (and especially not when you are 4 1/2 months pregnant!), it was incredibly hot and there is almost no relief from the heat until you are inside.  We did enjoy time at the pool, walking the strip, winning money and relaxing in a beautiful hotel.   The only downside was the it rained one night and was overcast almost every morning. Come on people, Vegas is a desert it's not supposed to rain and not on Dave's birthday!

19 weeks 2 days pregnant

Second stop on the Babymoon Train: LONDON! (August 5-12)

Our wonderful hosts
We spent a week in London visiting with Carly & Mike. They have a beautiful flat, and live in beautiful neighborhood.  Carly & I are two weeks apart in our pregnancy and our babies are going to be BFF's via skype!   We were there the week of the London Riots but thankfully the riots never made it close to where Carly & Mike live.  The riots did not interfere with our daily adventures and for this we are very thankful.  London was great, the weather held out for the most part, and although it is an extremely expensive city we were able to find "cheap" things to do! (Thanks to Carly & Mike for helping us navigate through London on a slightly cheaper route!)

Baby Jacobs!

It has been an incredibly long time since I blogged.  I will not go all the way back to my last blog and do a complete update- I will update about the fun stuff that has happened since then.

December 10, 2010: WE MOVED!!!

We finally moved into our new condo in December! Which was great and exhausting at the same time! My parents were so incredibly helpful-- even helping us move our HUGE dining room table from their garage to the new place the same day as my mom's annual Channukah party! They even helped us paint the living room accent wall the next day!

Here are some pictures of the new place:
March 22, 2011: We're PREGNANT!!!
Yes you read this correctly! (as if you all haven't been keeping tabs on my life via facebook!) We- well really I- found out that I was pregnant very early on. My body has always been very regular so when I was late by just two days I took a test (well actually I took two tests, one at night and one the next morning- thank goodness I had a snow delay for school!) and it was positive! It was probably the most interesting night in my life-we were so happy, called both sets of parents and then attempted to sleep knowing that there was a snow storm coming as well!

Loving Fall....

24 Hours in Montreal!
Welcome to Canada!
Dave & I have been planning a 4 day mini-vacation to Montreal since the end of September.  We were supposed to go this past weekend and instead of staying for 4 days we spent 1 night. The weather changed from the time we checked Wednesday night to when we got there on Thursday. Instead of rain for Thursday and part of Friday it was going to rain all the way through Saturday! I also woke up on Friday not feeling great so we decided to come home instead of spending a lot of money to sit in a hotel.  Montreal is probably a really great city but we weren't able to enjoy it in 40 degree rainy weather. We will try again another time--good thing we were able to drive and decide when we wanted to leave.  The hotel we stayed in was very cool and super nice--they let us cancel our other 2 nights there with no problems. So if you are ever looking for a hotel look for a W Hotel to stay at! Super nice, super friendly and fancy!
Welcome home!

October 31st, 2010:

Dylan the Pirate!
We spent Halloween in Hoboken with the MacDonald's.  Hoboken sure knows how to make families happy and welcomed! They closed down half of Washington Street so that the kids could parade in their costumes! The stores along Washington Street also had candy for the kids who were Trick 'O' Treating! It makes me excited to be moving to a new town that has a "downtown main street" so we can enjoy similar events like Halloween in the future.

Moving on up to the East Side....

Beautiful new kitchen!
Okay so actually we are moving West not East but it's all the same!  We finally found a place to live! After house hunting since Father's Day Weekend back in June we found something! We also realized that we really can not afford to buy a house in New Jersey at this time--anything we liked we could not afford, and anything we could afford we didn't like...SO we settled on looking into buying a 2 bedroom condo.  We found one!!! We are buying a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo with a living room, kitchen dinning room AND A LAUNDRY ROOM!!!!! I think I am most excited about the laundry room part-it costs us $5 a week to do our laundry at our current apartment complex.  I try to go to my parents house every few weeks but that doesn't always work out.

View in October!
As for our condo, we just had our inspection and now we are waiting to hear what the lawyers say about that. If all goes well we will be closing on November 30 and moving mid December.  We are so very excited and the development is really beautiful.  It comes with a pool, playground, tennis/basketball courts and a million sidewalks to walk around on. No gym which makes me sad but I'll find something. Everyone in the complex seems to be young couples, either just having their first baby or about to have a second one. It's a great place to start a family and make new friends (and keep our old ones as well!)

So all in all we are very excited and can not wait to start the next part of our lives in New Jersey!
